Red Bull Air Race
Es wird Zeit für das erste der versprochenen Updates, live aus Nürnberg. Heute wurde eine riesige Holzkiste geliefert. Der Inhalt: ein Modell der Red Bull Air Race Edge 540 von Peter Besenyei. Es hat eine Spannweite von 3.000 mm und ist nun nach dem Audi R8 4.2 quattro die zweite große Attraktion am KYOSHO-Messestand. Leider ist dies keine Neuheit, die in nächster Zukunft zu erwarten ist. Dieses Muster dient nur dekorativen Zwecken. Allerdings sind demnächst gleichartige EPP-Modelle sowie die aus der Minium- und SQS-Serie lieferbar. KYOSHO hatte diese schon im vergangenen Jahr angekündigt, wobei es bei dem Projekt zu unerwarteten Verzögerungen kam.

The plane showed here is not going to be produced by KYOSHO. We got it from Red Bull Deutschland for promotion and decoration purpose only and wanted to show it on the KYOSHOblog as it is a highlight at our booth.

It’s a non flying sample. The wing for example doesn’t have movable ailerons. A kit of this model isn’t available. The only officially licenced RC models with Red Bull Air Race design are distributed by KYOSHO. There are also Red Bull planes distributed by Fliteworks from Austria, but they only have an official licence for Flying Bulls design which is different to Red Bull Air Race design.
